Banded V-Belts

Hanna’s banded V-belts are designed for difficult applications where lateral vibration and heavy shocks often cause individual belts to whip or turn over.

A high-strength tie band permanently joins two or more belts to provide lateral rigidity. This keeps the belts running in a straight line in the pulley grooves.

Classic V-Belts

Hanna’s heavy duty industrial V-Belts are strong enough to power virtually every drive in your plant.

This series of belts include the classical A, B, C, D & E V-Belts. They are manufactured and produced to tight tolerances ensuring matchability and are oil resistant, heat resistant and static conductive.

Cogged V-belts

Hanna’s heavy-duty Cogged/Notched V-Belts offer a precision profile design for uniform stress distribution and excellent heat dissipation.

This construction permits greater flexibility and higher horsepower capacity for exceptional performance.

Double V-Belts

Hanna’s Double V Belts also known as hexagonal belts can be explained as two belts joined back to back, the neutral axis containing the tension cord is exactly halfway up the section.

Hexagonal belts are used where several pulleys are on the same plane and are to be driven in the clockwise and counter-clockwise direction simultaneously.

The polyester tension cord placed at the center of the construction provides the belt extreme flexibility and low stretch properties. Double V Belts normally find application in machines, rice mills as well as many applications in the industrial belt market.

Fractional Horse Power V Belts (FHP)

Hanna’s Fractional Horse Power V Belts will provide optimum service on fractional horsepower V belt drives including back idler applications.

FHP V Belts are recommended for applications such as powered cultivators, lawn mowers, electrical household appliances and heating and air conditioning equipment.

Our PoweRated belts meet the requirements of higher power, clutching, heavy shock loaded and back idler driven lawn and garden equipment.

Gates PoweRated V belts can be used as a substitute for equivalent sizes of FHP belts.

PoweRated belts include aramid tensile cords, oil and heat resistant compound with bareback construction providing smooth clutching operation.

Multi-Ribbed Belts

Hanna’s Multi Ribbed Belts are available in three cross-sections J & L and M. All three have a smooth-running construction, strong, low-stretch polyester tensile reinforcement, and static-dissipating under cords.

They are available in standard rib configurations and sizes, with lengths from 18 inches to 361 inches depending on the cross-section. Special sizes and constructions are available on request.

Hanna’s narrow wedge belts save space, weight and dollars. These belts transmit more horsepower on drives requiring greater speeds, higher-speed ratios or smaller sheave diameters.

These narrow wedge belts feature flex bonded cords and flex weave covers for enhanced load carrying capacity. These belts are specially designed with lateral rigidity to support the cords with precision machined sidewalls for better length control, product uniformity and consistency. These belts resist the effects of oil, heat, ozone, sunlight and weather aging.

They also meet The Rubber Manufacturers Association standards for static conductivity and are available in both single-strand and multi-strand belt configurations.

Multi-Ribbed Belts

The patented use of carbon fiber as the tensile cord in this belt provides increased horsepower rating for greater power density and compactness and increased flexibility allowing the use of backside idlers. When combined with Gates Poly Chain GT2 Sprockets, you have a lightweight, long lasting, maintenance free drive system that’s more than a match for roller chain. Poly Chain is virtually maintenance free and the clean solution for roller chain drive conversion.

PowerGrip Timing Belts

PowerGrip® HTD® and Timing belts have historically been the most commonly used rubber synchronous belt profiles in the industry. Gates originated the HTD tooth profile, whose curvilinear design delivers greater load capacity than trapezoidal-toothed Timing belts. Gates offers the industry’s greatest range of standard belt lengths and widths. Gates small pitch sizes are ideal for precision positioning and light power applications, such as office machines and robotic equipment. In larger pitch sizes they are cost-effective performers in a wide range of industrial applications, such as agricultural, oil field and HVAC equipment.

V-linked belts

No matter what equipment you are operating, productivity is critical. Hanna’s V Linked Belts minimize downtime with no tools required, easy installation in minutes without machine tear downs or struggling with rusted motor bases.

Hanna’s V Linked Belts have the same cross section dimensions as conventional endless V-belts and can be installed on existing pulleys with no changes in set-up.

Variable Speed also known as Multi Speed Belts have a distinct shape. Multi-Speed belt top widths are usually greater than their thickness. This permits a greater range of speed ratios than standard belts.

Usually cogged or notched on the underside, Multi-Speed belts are specified for equipment which requires changes in driven speed during operation. Multi-Speed belts are specified by Top Width, Outside Circumference, and the required Groove Angle. The groove angle can be measured from the drive pulleys.
